Vypin Islands

Vypin is an island near Kochi and is around 27 kilometers in length. Vypin is connected to Kochi mainland via Goshree bridges. Vypin ranks 58th in the most population-dense islands on the earth. Vypin was created during the flood of the year 1341 CE. 

One of the lighthouses in Kerala is located in Puthuvype, in Vypin island. It's the tallest lighthouse in Kerala. Munambam harbor which is located at the North end of Vypin island is the biggest fishing harbor in Kochi.

There is a boat service to and from Vypin to Fort Kochi.
