The little shed is located atop of Athirapilly waterfalls. The shed stands strong in ferocious water currents and extreme weather conditions.
There was a temporary shed initially in this place. After approval from the Forest department, the shed was later reinforced during a film (Maruthanayakam - Tamil movie) shoot. The initial setup was done to fix the crane for shooting a scene in the waterfalls. Iron rods were fixed after drilling the rock and strengthed with concreate. The shed has ten pillars of which three are inserted deep between the rocks.
During the floods of 2018, the shed has gone completely under the water. Few repairs are also done by the Forest department and Vana Samrakshana Samithi over the years.
